someone told me the other day this is one of the first photos officially released by a celebrity that was not airbrushed

one thing i loved about tropico was that you could tell lana’s body was so real, she didn’t photoshop or airbrush herself to hell and i thought that was really great. 

I have so much respect and admiration for her for releasing this photo, sans editing. In a world filled with Photoshop and airbrushing, it’s very refreshing to see a woman who has the confidence and courage to go against the grain — especially in an industry where looks are everything and flaws are frowned upon. Whether you are a fan of Lana Del Rey or not, you can’t deny that she deserves accolades for this.
